The long-selling Auto King Gaff, the standard for bluefin squid gaffs, has been renewed!!

A new “SS” size compatible with compact shafts has been added. The safety cover mechanism has been updated from a ring type to a one-push open type, improving both safety and ease of use. The solid section now comes in silver for better visibility at night!
In addition, the wire diameter of the thick-hook type gaff has been increased from 1.0 mm to 1.2 mm, further enhancing durability.

Feature 1

You can use this product as a squid gaff by attaching it to a commercially available landing shaft!
Easily attaches directly to standard landing shafts (with a Whitworth thread size of W1/2).
Allows switching between a landing net and a gaff.

● Read before use
• The spring tension can be adjusted using the nut. Fully tightening it will keep the gaff in the open position.
• If the gaff does not open automatically or does not fit smoothly into the safety cover, adjusting the nut may help resolve the issue.
• The gaff may not open automatically if the hook tips are tangled together or if the protective rubber is interfering.

Feature 2

The cover opens with a single push, and the gaff automatically deploys with a flick of the rod!
An original mechanism that combines compact storage with a wide opening for easy hooking.
The hooks (used in the gaff) are made in Japan and offer excellent penetration.

Feature 3

When stored, the gaff fits securely into the safety cover, allowing you to focus on fishing with peace of mind.
The solid shaft fits neatly inside the landing shaft for compact storage.

Caution

● Be careful not to injure yourself on the hook tips.
As the gaff opens automatically, take extra care when extending or collapsing it.
● Rough handling may damage the gaff or solid shaft.
● The safety cover may crack if it strikes rocks or other hard surfaces.
● Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after use.
If left unwashed, rust or salt buildup may prevent the gaff from opening and closing smoothly.
Do not use lubricants, as they may cause bonded parts to come apart.
● Extending the shaft while the cap is closed may damage the safety cover or cap.
● Do not use for any purpose other than catching Japanese flying squid (Aori-ika).
● Keep out of reach of children. Do not allow children to use this product, as it may be dangerous.
● This product cannot be attached to landing shafts that do not have a through-threaded fitting or have an inner diameter smaller than 10 mm.
